Practices
Christian spiritual practices encompass a variety of activities that are undertaken to encourage a deeper connection with God and to cultivate personal growth in faith. These practices, rooted in tradition and scripture, serve as important tools in the Christian journey, guiding believers in their pursuit of Jesus and an understanding of their faith.
Intentional Practices for Growth in Your Faith
The practices are designed to help you grow in your journey of faith. No matter where you are on your journey, these practices are designed to encourage your growth and development. The practices are not designed to be a list to check off, but a practical way to live a life devoted to to Jesus. Each practice gives several tangible ideas to implement for spiritual growth.
Remember, the practices and faith stages are not designed to compare yourself to others, but a means to help you grow in your own personal faith. As you continue to grow in faith, you’ll find that your relationship with Jesus becomes deeper, richer, and more consistent. Our desire is that these six practices help foster an environment for growth in your life.

Worship-Filled Life
Living a worship-filled life means orienting your heart toward God in every part of your day. Worship is more than music on Sunday; it is giving God honor through your choices, priorities, and lifestyle.
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” – Romans 12:1

Grow in the Word
To grow in the Word is to build your life on Scripture. By reading, studying, and applying God’s Word, you develop a deeper understanding of who He is and how He calls you to live.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” – 2 Timothy 3:16–17

Connect in Community
Connecting in community means walking alongside others in authentic relationships where you are known, encouraged, and challenged in your faith. God designed us to grow best when we grow together.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.” – Hebrews 10:24–25

Serve Others
Serving others is following Jesus’ example of humility and compassion. It means using your time, talents, and gifts to meet needs, bless others, and reflect God’s love in practical ways.
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” – Mark 10:45

Live a Generous Life
A generous life flows out of gratitude to God. It involves giving your resources, time, and energy with open hands, trusting that everything you have is from Him and meant to be used to bless others.
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” – 2 Corinthians 9:7

Share the Gospel
Sharing the Gospel means telling others the good news of Jesus. This can be as simple as inviting someone to church, sharing your personal story, or explaining the hope and forgiveness found in Christ.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” – Matthew 28:19–20
