Share the Gospel

Bring hope, transformation, and lead people to eternal life through Jesus.

Matthew 28:19-20

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Sharing the Gospel means actively proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ to others, inviting them to experience His love, grace, and salvation. It involves living out our faith authentically and being ready to communicate the hope and transformation we’ve found in Christ. Sharing the Gospel is not limited to words but includes our actions and attitudes, which reflect the character of Jesus and draw others to Him. This commitment to evangelism springs from a deep desire for others to know the life-changing power of a relationship with God.

Moreover, sharing the Gospel transforms our perspective and purpose. It shifts our focus from ourselves to the eternal significance of others’ lives. As we share the message of Christ, we grow in our own faith, finding joy and fulfillment in witnessing God’s work in the lives of those around us. This mission encourages us to develop meaningful relationships, where we can lovingly and respectfully engage in spiritual conversations. Ultimately, sharing the Gospel is an essential expression of our love for God and people, fulfilling Jesus’ command to make disciples of all nations and bringing glory to God through the spread of His Kingdom.

Exploring

If you’re exploring faith, the Gospel is where it all begins. The good news of Jesus Christ is the foundation of Christianity, and it’s an invitation for you to discover who Jesus is, why He came, and what His life, death, and resurrection mean for you. As you hear and consider the core truths of the Christian faith, we encourage you to see how Jesus’ story connects with your own.

Exploring the Gospel will help you understand the significance of a relationship with Jesus and the hope, forgiveness, and eternal life He offers. It speaks to life’s biggest questions and the deep longings of your heart. This journey of exploration can lead you to a personal encounter with Jesus and the beginning of a transformed life of faith.

What is the Gospel?

Beginning

As a new believer, sharing the Gospel is an important step in your faith journey. This is the time to begin learning how to tell your own story, your testimony of what Jesus has done in your life, and to share His message with others. Evangelism is not just about giving information; it is about offering the love and hope you have found in Christ.

Sharing your faith can be as simple as inviting someone to come to church with you. As you grow, you will gain confidence to share with family, friends, and people you meet, using your own experiences along with the truths of Scripture. You will discover the joy of witnessing to others and the fulfillment that comes from knowing you are part of God’s mission to redeem and restore the world. And as you share the Gospel, your own faith will grow stronger as you see how God’s message transforms lives.

Inviting friends to church provides a welcoming environment where they can hear the Gospel proclaimed, ask questions, and explore faith in community. It’s a simple yet profound way to fulfill the Great Commission, spreading the Good News and making disciples of all nations.

Growing

As you grow in your faith, sharing the Gospel becomes a more intentional and natural part of your daily life. Evangelism is not just an occasional activity; it is a calling and mission. You are invited to share the Gospel through both words and actions, living in a way that points people toward Christ.

Sharing can be as simple as inviting someone to church, where they can experience God’s love and hear the message of Jesus for themselves. As you continue to grow, you will develop a heart for the lost and a passion for missions, both locally and globally. This may lead you to take part in outreach events, mission trips, and community service projects. As your commitment deepens, sharing the Gospel will transform your perspective on life and relationships, helping you live as an ambassador of Christ in every area of your life.

To deepen engagement in sharing the Gospel, the action item is to participate in a mission trip. Mission trips provide opportunities to engage in cross-cultural evangelism, serve communities in need, and share the love of Christ in practical ways. Whether locally or internationally, participating in a mission trip allows believers to step outside their comfort zones, experience God’s heart for the lost, and actively participate in spreading the Gospel to those who have not yet heard. By joining a mission trip, individuals can contribute to kingdom-building efforts and make a lasting impact for eternity.

Multiplying

As you multiply in your faith, sharing the Gospel means leading and equipping others to do the same. At this stage, you model a lifestyle of evangelism, showing by example the importance and urgency of spreading the good news of Jesus. You mentor others, offering encouragement, training, and resources so they can share their faith with confidence.

Sometimes this is as simple as encouraging someone to invite a friend to church, while at other times it involves organizing and leading evangelistic efforts in the church or community. As you invest in developing new leaders and evangelists, you create a ripple effect that extends the reach of the Gospel far beyond yourself. Through your example and leadership, you multiply disciples who are committed to sharing the Gospel, impacting your community and advancing God’s Kingdom in powerful ways.

To deepen their commitment to sharing the Gospel, the action item is to participate in a personal evangelism training program. This training equips believers with the necessary skills and resources to articulate their faith, engage in meaningful conversations about spiritual matters, and effectively communicate the message of salvation to others. Through interactive workshops, role-playing scenarios, and practical exercises, individuals can develop confidence, clarity, and sensitivity in sharing their faith, ultimately becoming more effective ambassadors for Christ in their communities and beyond.
