Stages of Faith
Everyone of us has a next step in our relationship with Jesus. Once we identify where we are on our spiritual journey, we can take our next step to further spiritual growth.
Stages on the Path
Everyone has a Next Step
We believe that God has a special journey planned for you. We are here to help you along the path. One of the best way to help us all to grow in faith is to have an understanding of where we are. The following four stages serve as a guide to help you understand where you are in your faith journey. Each stage provides suggestions for how you can grow in faith by investing in spiritual practices.

Exploring
If you are exploring faith, this is the stage where you are learning about who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him. You may have questions, doubts, or curiosity—and that is a good place to begin. Exploring gives you the opportunity to hear the message of the Gospel, experience God’s love through community, and take steps toward a personal relationship with Jesus.
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
– Jeremiah 29:13

Beginning
As you begin your faith journey, you are taking your first steps in following Jesus. This is the time to grow in your understanding of God’s Word, prayer, and community. It is also a season to share your story and invite others to experience what you are discovering. Even simple steps, like attending church regularly or inviting someone to join you, can help strengthen your foundation in Christ.
“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”
– 1 Peter 2:2

Growing
When you are growing in your faith, following Jesus becomes a daily priority. You begin to understand that living as a disciple means integrating your faith into every part of life. At this stage, you look for ways to serve others, live generously, and share the Gospel in both words and actions. You may also develop a passion for missions and outreach, seeking to be a light in your community.
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
– Colossians 2:6–7

Multiplying
As you multiply in your faith, your focus shifts to equipping and leading others. You invest in mentoring, training, and encouraging disciples who will continue the mission of Jesus. This stage is about creating a ripple effect—leading by example, developing new leaders, and multiplying disciples who impact families, communities, and the world for Christ.
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”
– 2 Timothy 2:2
